I moved to Europe immediately after graduating college,
and spent most of the 80's working in Germany, Italy and
France. I have always had a great love of all things European,
and I speak, read and write fluent Italian, German and French.
My first real job, my first apartment - the first time I
"made my own chimney smoke," as my father used
to say, was in Europe. I am enamoured of the European lifestyle
- especially the cuisine!!
I enjoy most sports. I had the good fortune to grow up
in Connecticut, where we had four distinct (brutally distinct)
seasons. I was further fortunate enough to have a family
that made all things possible: Boy Scouts and camping, swimming,
golfing and water skiing in the summer, downhill skiing
in the winter. I am currently experimenting with rollerblading
and snowboarding, but I think I'll probably stick with my
mountain bike and long boards.Motorcycling is something
I started doing when I moved to Northern California. I love
it! I have a classic older BMW (boxer) and it is fully rigged
for long trips as well as jetting about town.
